The SALES
By Bruce

It’s the New Year
The sales are looking good
People all squashed queuing up
It’s time to open up
Rushing around
Like mad dogs
Trying to buy things

Snatching out of people’s hands
Trying to get a bargain
Queue up to try clothes on
Skirts top and trousers
You’re taking off a coat and jumper
trying to put on a new coat
or a new jumper

People rushing around you
Trying on trainers
And five pairs of shoes

If not clothes
A T V and radio
Vacuum cleaner
Bedding and others things too
Now you’ve got lots of bags
And you need some food and drink in you
The queue is around the corner
The bus and you are stuck in traffic

The lampshade has gone I am running after it

The Moon Lass
By BRUCE

She sits on the moon
And waves to the space ship
Blow a kiss to the man
At night she looks down to earth

Watching people going home from work
And doing other things too

She plays with her space dust
And sings out to the stars

When the nights are dark
And she sees children ready for bed
She sings down to them sweet dreams
Just to let you know she up in the sky
When the sun comes up and she goes down
She says good morning to the sun
And good night too

Sometimes she sees the rockets come up to her
As they light up the sky

When it’s Christmas she gets to say hello
To the Reindeer and Santa
And gives them a kiss too
And wishes them a happy New Year

When the moon comes out and you look up
To the sky just say hello to her
She may blows down a good night kiss
And sprinkle you with space dust
The moon lass
